Welcome to our boutique winery, located just off State Route B in Ste. Genevieve—not exactly nestled in the hills of some distant land, but right where the action is. We’re Andy and Ang Cartee. Our story began with a kit wine. Yes, you read that right. We bottled it, gave it to our friends and family, and… well, let’s just say it wasn’t exactly love at first sip. Undeterred and slightly delusional, we decided the logical next step was to purchase almost 500 lbs of grapes, rent some equipment, and give it another shot. This time, with the help of our buddy Mike Marty, we produced a Norton that we still think about over a decade later.

Since then, we’ve continued making wine that we’re proud to share with friends and family—who are, thankfully, much happier with the results these days. In 2014, we took a huge risk and moved about 100 miles from our jobs to Ste. Genevieve to give this passion project (Andy cringes every time I use that phrase) a real go. In 2018, with the help of seven determined friends, we planted 170 Chambourcin grape vines. Once they matured, we began hosting small harvest parties, where our friends and family showed up, worked hard, and supported us each year. Balancing full-time jobs with this hobby-gone-wild has been sumthin’. It’s been a great ride so far, and we’d love for you to join us on this next turn.
